“Put it in gear, and vamonos!” BMW aficionado and collector Jan Echeverry’s vintage cars aren’t your typical garage queens - they get driven. Since 1987 he’s been in love with the automotive lifestyle. He purchased his first BMW model for $500, which he found sittin’ pretty in a junkyard. Fast forward twenty years and he still finds purpose in importing and reviving old school BMWs at his garage in northern California. On behalf of Shine Squad member Courtney Cutchen and Fuel Supply Co., Turtle Wax had the opportunity to connect with Jan first hand and hear more about the man behind the (many) machines. I recently had the great privilege of filming with Janine Stone, owner of If You Give a Girl a Saw - during the buildout of her new shop space. I had the honor of capturing her in her element; nose down, hard at work, creating incredible pieces of carpentry and woodcraft, while simultaneously building an entire warehouse that she could call her own. This short film embodies what Janine strives for in her work, and shows just a slice of her life when she's in her groove.
